We’re holding a recruitment open day at our Taunton base in Ilton, near Ilminster, on Monday 9 November 2026, from 11:00am to 3:30pm. Everyone is welcome.
We’re looking for Mental Health Transport Assistants to join our Taunton team. Drop in at any time to have a tour of the base, meet the team, look round our vehicles and find out what the job really involves. If you like what you see, you can fill in an application form on the day and get the ball rolling.
About the role
Our crews support people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives – hospital transfers, community work, court and prison escorts, and planned appointments. The role pays £29,505.60 a year on a 4 on / 4 off rolling rota, with shifts from 10:30 to 23:00 and 29 days’ annual leave including bank holidays. Full training is provided before you work independently.

- If you already have an enhanced DBS, please bring it with you – it will make the process quicker.
